possible future GM project? Look where the injector opening is in relation to the rest of the port. The ports are HUGE. Looks like GM is cooking something up with an immense amount of power. This intak will not mate up to LS1/6 heads.

Same Throttle body as the LS2...same bolt pattern

Thumbs up

Hmmmm. Maybe that is the intake for the new 3 valve truck motor? Or the Z06 3 valve motor. The throttle body area looks almost exactly like the C6 LS2 intake with those 3 ridges cast in behind the TB. Also, I bet the intake will bolt to the LS1/6 head just fine, same bolt pattern and port spacing, but the port sizes being different being the problem.

If I had to guess.. Probably something for the factory race team's, CTS-V's and Vettes. Possibly fit C5R heads?

Heard a nasty rumor WAY back that the Z06 replacement might be a new generation big block motor.. but never heard anything else about it.

I read the same thing somewhere, I can't remember where though. How awesome would that be.

John...you may be correct..it does resemble C5r stuff. The intake is much wider and raised...although the angle is the same as the LS1/6

Is that a date in the corner 10-30-03 or something like that? Any casting numbers on the intake?

Im a Region Product Develpoer for GM and I know how you got the intake. To avoid any further issues at this time you can just send the intake directly to me.

Just kidding man Im really a district manager with Sears. but if youd like to send me the intake thats cool also. I look forward to finding out more about it for sure.

Is it for C5R heads? Could be C5R-related stuff for endurance cars.

I thought that there was a guy with a vette on here a year or 2 ago that went to Katech and they built a C5R motor with a custom intake for him. Block, heads everything. It didnt dyno real high because it was a mild setup and everyone gave him **** for it like why go C5R if it isnt all out and the cost was crazy. Well the pictures of the motor had an intake that looked like the LS6 intake however the runners were not rounded but fatter like the ones in the intake pictured here. By the look of the ports I would also say that it would fit C5R heads. From what I remember I thought the guy wanted a motor that looked and almost sounded stock but had nice power.
