Ordered Mast Small Bore LS3's
Thoughts or opinions please.
This isn't about any other heads than the two mentioned.
SOMEONE out there has these (small bores), or ran them. I want to see graphs, torque lines, you name it.
Any pics you can share?
The debate right now is what cam I'll have spec'd, what cc to mill to, and what manifold. What cc did you wind up going with? Stock rockers using their stands?
The medium runners were a game changer for me with the Fast, but having a 240cc intake port, I sure don't need the LS3 fast and lose even MORE low end torque.
The 215's on the other hand may be perfect, allowing me to use medium runners on the cathedral 102, while still keeping good torque bc of the runner size and compression I'll be running.
2004 Corvette M6 39k mile (stock) LS6 short block
Pfadt 1 7/8 x 2.1 x 3 Tri-Y headers
Catless 3"x pipe, thats 2.5" right at the end Corsa Extreme (pretty much a straight pipe; no 180* bends after the over axle part)
Blackwing intake
With the heads I'll be installing the ARP studs (already have)
.40 or .41 head gasket (Cometic or FelPro)
LS6 ported pump
Hinson C7R seamless timing chain / billet gears, Torrington bearing
POSSIBLY Katech rod bolts
Rear will be getting 3.90's with C6z guts and shafts
The kicker here is spec'ing a cam that not only works with the large runner heads, but has sufficient (more than most) overlap to take full advantage of the Tri-Y headers.
If you are gonna stay 5.7 for a good while then the 215s or Mamo's new 220s would be more explosive all the time. Ed C. will have your camshaft whichever way you go and with the .5 OD of the M6 trans, 4.10s is also an option.

I'll trade some responsiveness for some all out power above 4k. I rarely live under that anyway, unless I'm just putting around town.
I've got a guy 5 minutes from me that wants me to trade my stock rear for his 4.10 rear... But man... Mine only has 39k miles on it. His has way more than that. I figured 3.90's would be a good compromise between the two.
