Default Help with ATI balancer

Hey guys, I am building a 5.3L forged turbo engine. I have purchased the 10% UD aluminum outer shell ati balancer for it a while back. The car will see a lot of street driving. Should I be exchanging this for a steel outer shell for more street use? Ik there is a few threads about this but didn't get a concrete answer.

I have been running mine for years. When I spoke with a tech at Corvettes at Carlisle when I bought mine (ATI had a booth at the show) he said that ATI didn't build 25% underdrive because it didn't provide enough protection.

On some of these forums people are saying aluminum shell isn't good for street driving.

Running the ATI 10% for over a year here have about 600 street miles. I'm pretty sure it's an aluminum shell.

You might have issues if you run Autox, otherwise it should be fine. I have quite a few miles on mine.

I would think a lot of street driving is similar to auto cross. Obviously not As extreme

I just bought one for my Vette. Aluminum body and steel hub. They said it'd be perfect for street use up to 600HP as is. I did go ahead and have them make it with the high rpm material though. Only weighs 9 pounds.
