I recommend against this. It's better than the LS1 cam, but I was very disappointed when I put it in a 5.3. If could have done that one over, I would have called multiple vendors and gone from there.

I'm having a tough time on deciding on a cam myself, so your not alone. Once i think i no exactly what i want, i read or hear something that make me do a complete 180. BUT..

I did think up a sleeper set up at one point, and it may work for you. I already bought tfs 225's so...with tfs heads i was planning on going with a gt11-gt9 cam. I also thought about grabbing gt2-3 cam and maybe used 1.8 rockers for a better lift and use of the trick flows. I think the gt2-3 with 1.8 rockers could be a completely killer stealth combo. There are a few cams that can be used with stock manifolds and make better power than the zo6 cam. Plus you can always get a custom cam. Keep us posted!!

That wasn't the wrong camshaft, you just forgot to put on the Borg Warner S475....

My "sleeper" build is in my signature. Car idles and drives like stock... until I step on it, then it hauls... I have to pass CA emissions and have stock manifolds, cats and stock stall (mild stall next). Exhaust only has a Magnaflow muffler, still quiet.

I open the hood and the car looks totally stock. Has not been on a dyno or track yet but a huge improvement. At first it was a "heads only" car but added the custom Tick cam and now it is a blast to drive. I too was going to do an LS6 cam but I am very happy with what Martin @ Tick spec'd for me. The LS6 cam will be better on gas mileage but I'm glad I went slightly bigger. The custom cam idles/drives near stock... except way more power. It's fun to surprise everyone.

No I was going to talk to you see how you liked it. I am going to be running same heads as you 799's, Fast 102/NW102 Intake setup, 1-7/8" LTs, Y-Pipe, Magnaflow Catback and spray 150-200 shot on mine. I just couldn't believe with the size of that cam that the LSA would calm it down that much, but you have and and are doing it so it must be awesome! He wouldn't disclose who he gave the other specs to but I have put 2 and 2 together and figured out you are the one lol, he said you told him it ran crazy good but you didn't even know it was there. Ultimate Sleeper Cam!
