Default big cam causes more oil in the intake?

I have a friend with a 2011 corvette,, he put cnc'ed heads and a cam with 22?/23? 113ls,, with a catch can($140.00,don't know the name of it), the motor runs great,, 452rwhp.. but after about 5-6 blast down the street it goes into limp mode because of so much oil in the intake,, he says, it's because he has a BIG cam and all ls motors will do it! even with a catch can? any thoughts? everything I have read say's these motors need a catch can,, but is it this bad??
Thanks TC

He's an idiot. You think all the people on here with cams have to pull off the intake after ever 5 miles of driving to clean it off? The word "inconvenient" would not even begin to describe that situation. And there's nothing about a 220s/230s cam that screams "BIG".

Hundreds if not thousands of people with aftermarket cams go thousands of miles without having to do that, so something is royally wrong with your friend's car that it has so much oil to actually send the engine to limp mode after 6 pulls. His car would be smoking like crazy from all the burning oil taking place as the stuff that is left on the intake is only a small portion of what actually goes through the engine and is burned off.

Sounds like the catch can is hooked up wrong. Did he try removing it for the hell of it?

Even then, an engine with a cam will not be sending that much oil through the intake to cause limp mode after a few miles.

Something completely unrelated to oil is causing this problem.

He may not have used a sealer on the rocker bolts. Most CNC heads take out the rocker hump in the port, so oil can get through into the intake runners.
