Default 2004 cts-v

I bought a bone stock 2004 cts v. If I took the 243's and sent them to be ported, not sure where (TSP), full exhaust with lt's, 228r cam (need help deciding lsa), cold air, and a good tune, where do yall think I would be on hp/torque. Im not really concerned about peak hp. god under the curbe since these are so heavy. Do you think my setup is good for under the curve torque? Im shooting for 420-440 hp to the wheels since people will ask. Also, could this setup beat an m6 5th gen SS?

You have a solid game plan, but I doubt it's going to beat an ls3 camaro. It shouldn't.

But you can, or should be able to, reach your goal of ~430rwhp with ported 243's and a 228ish cam. Probably on a 111 or 112 intake centerline, probably 6-8° of overlap to carry power well. Good springs and pushrods, blah blah blah.

You will definitely have a nice Vee-car.

GOOD ported heads and cam could get you 440-450 RWHP and you should easily outrun stock LS3 camaro.....both cars are very heavy at 3850+lbs, the Camaro "only" makes 360-375 RWHP however. I would get Advanced induction ported 243s....those seem to have the best real world results from my research into stock ported castings.

You never mention the trans, which makes a big deference in performance part recommendations...you need a sig...

I stand corrected on the comments about not being able to beat an LS3 camaro. I was incorrect and officially recant my opinion.

The 0-60 times website has both the '04V and the '11SS as 4.8s to 60mph, and the 1/4m in 13.0-13.1s range.

I knew the Vee is fast, I just didn't know the camaro was that slow... Given that it's newer and is missing two doors.

Okay Thanks for the input! So since I already have the heads, where is the best place to send them to get ported?

Tony Mamo @ mamo motorsports. Along with the ls6 intake and throttle body. And I would have Tony spec you a cam, and get it ground on a cam motion core with cam motion lobes. But that's just me.

And the first generation Vee only was available with a t56, to my knowledge. So the OP has a 6spd. And a glass differential.

Still a personal favorite of mine. I will always love the V1, and very much hope to own one in the not too distant future.

I would do AI to port OEM 243s, Have Tony @ MMS MAMOFY
a FAST 92 @ LS2 TB worth 20-25 RWHP with Ported Heads &
A Cam over your LS6 intake along with 15-25 Lb ft through
Your whole curve (2500-6500RPM)
I would talk with Kip @ CAM MOTION for a custom cam for your
Goals as stated by David Boren, something like
223*-227* intake duration with 4*-6* more exhaust duration
Depending on exhaust (headers or stock) and how high you want to
Spin, LSA 115*+3* will be smoother and more "CADDY LIKE",
I Would limit overlap to +4* Max or less.
112*+3* more lope and low end, rowdier.
Not a cam expert,
just my .02
