Default Ls1 engine rebuild critique.

I have a 99 Trans Am with T56 and 3.42s.

Engine is being completely rebuilt, with small bore .01-.02 over

Full Porting and polishing 243 Corvette heads, multi angle valve job. and milled .030

TPS 228/232 112 lsa cam, PRC.650 dual springs, chromoly hardened rods, Ls7 lifters

Air lid, fast intake, fast throttle body, Mac long tube headers, no cats, y pipe, borla dual exhaust.

Going to be dyno tuned. What kind of number do you guys think it wil put down? I'm hoping for 430-450

My factory clutch is ok....but will it handle this kind of horsepower for long? Should I upgrade the slave cylinder and throw out bearing?

This is my daily driver and I want a lot of torque and Streetable power.

Other than wrecking the block with too much overbore?

My understanding is a 99 block is .005 max.

Why is it being rebuilt?

I meant to say .001 or .002.

I bought it used and it went on me the next day.
It had a blown head gasket and cracked piston. I got it for pretty cheap.

Change of plans.....I just told them to do full porting on the 243s.

Ditch the Mac's and go with Speed Engineering 1 7/8" headers and their ORYP. Add an electric cutout before it goes over the axle if you want more sound and about 7-8 more RWHP. Id also suggest calling Thompson Motorsports for a set of their hand selected LS7 lifters that have had the bleed down rates verified. Im running them on my setup following Kyles preload #'s and the setup is dead quiet. It also carries to 6800rpm nicely with no valve float. Realistically if it puts down 420rwhp that will be good.

I just told Tick to hold off on my order of the 225/228 cam. I'm considering a Street Sweeper Ht 228/232. Any suggestions?

Should I upgrade the clutch since its out? Can I keep the stock flywheel if it's ok?

Which clutch is a good upgrade. They have Spec stage 1 and 2 for a decent price. Are this good clutches?
