Well thank you. I will say there will be a $10 price increase starting June 1st but we will hold that till the end of 2016 for sure.

I received my order (#320) for these a couple days ago. They look terrific. UPS gave the package a pretty rough ride, but I think everything should be OK.

I'm getting them installed in my stroked LS7 next week, which currently has the Comp kit in it. The Comps have about 14K miles on them and aren't causing issues that I'm aware of, but I'm installing these as a preemptive or preventive measure.

Seeing the comments/questions about LS7 rockers potentially needing some honing in order to press the bushings in has me a little nervous. Guess I'll find out.

I intend to order a set of these as soon as I get back to working on my car. I have no doubt what so ever that these are going to be the final touch to my valve train for years to come.
Thanks for bringing a new product tot us LS folks, Straub.

Default LS7 installation

Everything went smoothly on the installation. Got the old Comp-equipped rockers changed over to the Straubs. Bushings pressed right in, no issues. My Comps had about 14,000 miles on them and every one of the Comp trunnions had very obvious needle bearing wear patterns, and number of them easily failing the "fingernail" test. I would guess .001 to .0015 depth was average.

I did run across one minor issue unrelated to the bushings themselves, and that is the optional bolts offered by Straub are too long for LS7 heads, 52.5mm vs 34mm. Rocker arms on the LS7 heads register directly onto the heads as they do not use rocker pedestals like other LS engines, so the OE, original, shorter GM bolts got re-used, no worries.
After firing up the engine, I can definitely hear less valve-train noise. It's definitely not totally silent naturally, but still quieter just the same.

Planning a road trip next week so a little break-in time is in order. Fingers crossed.

You got it. I saw your LS7 questions in this thread a few days ago that never got a direct answer.

I pulled a few of mine apart during a head swap last week and they're even smoother now then when new after a few track days. Look very promising.

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. I have got the fastener company sending me samples and we will build a part number for the LS7 with bolts.

No not at all Chris! It was good to read a first-hand account of the rockers NOT needing honing as well as the bolts being a bit shorter.

Looks like we are right around 2400 kits sold so far. I should have a 14K mile inspection next week.

Eagerly awaiting results ... I like the idea of no bearings in my rockers.

He is waiting on the car to come in to swap out cam and lifters in it for testing a new Morel LS lifter. I've asked him to take pictures.

I am pretty sure I've made my mind up on a Straub trunion kit anyway
