I'm in!! Got a set to put in my LS3 rockers for my current swap. Don't like the idea of needle bearings possibly dancing around in there.
I'd actually like some clarification since clearly I am not nearly as qualified as 90% of the people who have designed or even installed these yet.
When I press the bushings in level with the face of the rocker and install trunnions plus clips, when I ever so slowly rotate the rocker 360* by hand, I feel some very minor resistance in 1 or 2 spots.
Upon further investigation I assembled the c-clips and bushings onto the trunnion without using a rocker and slowly rotated it over by hand from the trunnion. I am not sure if the resistance has to do with the c-clips rubbing the bushing or the corners of the trunnions rubbing the bushing. Either way, it would wear to the point it will no longer rub but I question how good it is to have brass shavings running through the motor.
The edges of this section where my thumb is and the opposite side of the trunnion is what I feel like is contacting the bushing:
^ I too had this problem. I forgot what sockets were used to press them in, but atleast my socket (socket thickness will very by brand) would push the bushing in just barely to far and create resistance like you mentioned.
I took a thick washer and drilled a bigger hole in it to where it would go over the trunion but still press the bushing in and just used the socket to push on the washer. After that they all moved freely.
And for the people who don't know. Those little needle bearings cause quit a mess in an engine . That's why a lot of your high end lifter now don't use them

This is true. But besides just the one washer I had to use these bushings from what I can see/tell are very high quality and from a great company. I look forward to seeing how they perform. (havent started engine yet)

My problem is I am not getting a constant resistance. They have a few spots in a full 360* rotation that create the slightest difference of resistance.
Is their supposed to be any horizontal play in the trunniom when it's properly installed?
Potentially silly question- can these be used on rockers other than stockers? My car has the older Yella Terra roller rockers. My heads are Tony's MMS 220s.

I was using washers from a Comp upgrade kit, didn't even realize they were missing. I know it's no consolation, but an appropriately thick piece of wood with a hole drilled would do the trick. You're really only trying to stop the press once it reaches the outside of the rocker bearing bore.
