I also got ahold of the engine builder and the l92 will be milled .030.
You guys just use playdough and a caliper to measure the pickup tube clearance?
Another thread recommended 3/8"-1/2" clearance. That right?

I've also been wrestling with getting my professional products fuel rail kit to mount properly to the ls3 intake with my stock 28lb injectors.
Not enough injector. FWIW my LS3 408 has 60# on -8 feeds. I'd say you'll need 38-45# injectors to feed that motor on pump 93.

My thinking here was to keep my 28lb injectors on while i break in the motor on my previous tune and use my 42lb injectors post break in.
I'd essentially have to get the car tuned twice if I installed the ls3 injectors now, right?
Base tune for break in, then another performance tune.

Your route might work.... I'd bet you'll blow through several sets of plugs if the motor doesn't get wiped out first.
I was surprised how easy it was to get in contact with him and iron out a plan.
The plan for tuning would be for me to get an AutoCal to read my PCM calibrations, shoot that info to Pat G so he can modify it and provide me an email tune I can use for break in. I'll data log the car's performance with the new tune and adjust as needed, and take the car to his shop for a full on dyno tune when ready.
I noticed the inside of my oil pan had a slight crack in it. I'm not sure if it was from me or the previous owner, but I had my pops weld it. I later took a dremel to it to try and smooth out the weld. I'm hoping there won't be any issues.
