LS1 Hydrolock Carnage:/
On Halloween Weekend my car sat through a pretty rough storm. Unbeknownst to me, my PCV line was completely split directly behind the intake where I couldn't see it. My cowl leaked water and monday morning when I started the car I was greeted with an awful Racket:
Well Shortly after I lost my job and things just went downhill in my life. Anyways I just got my motor back which will make a nice table one day. Wanted to let you guys know to check your cowls and make sure they aren't leaking and check your PCV hose. Anyways, this is what I found after pulling my motor...
Motor is trash. Found a low mileage (50K) LS6 from an 02' Z06 so I ordered a Tsunami Cam from Texas speed (235/240 .629/.612) and the dual springs and stuff. Hopefully I will have the car back on the road soon! Should Have an update next week.
Just wanted to share so you guys can check your stuff because this was a really shitty situation (pardon my french)

Thanks guys hopefully it's running this week. It's been a long time coming. Any ideas on how to seal the cowl? The guy was asking 3500 for the long block.

She's back from the dead! Running strong as ever! Didnt realize how big a difference lighter valves and titanium retainers would make. Just revs so much easier than before.

This must be what happened to my brother-in-law's car. His looked similar on rods 5 and 7. No hole in the block but it did stress the wall enough to crack it. He had left it outside over night, in a flooding rain, and it started knocking the next morning and then locked up. I'll make sure he seals his cowl before parking it outside again.

these cars are so thrown together its ridiculous. after a rain storm, i was changing my battery and noticed water on puddled near the injectors on my intake manifold... SMH.
