Default Iron Block Cominations

What are some cubic inch combinations that you can make out of the 5.0L Iron block? Can you make a 427?

Thanks

If you're wanting to use a 6.0L Iron block, a standard 408/410 will be sufficient. Boring a 6.0L block any more than .030 can lead to cylinder walls that are too thin. It all depends on it's intended use, of course.

A stock 6.0L block has a 4.000 bore, so a 6.0L block bored .030 over has a 4.030 bore. Use that in conjuction with a 4.000" Stroke and you'll get 408 Cubic Inches.

If you want a 410 then you bore the block .040 over and use a 4.000" Stroke.
