Default Cammed ls1 engine shaking.

Wondering if its healthy for an ls1 to shake with a cam installed. Engines always done it since day one of the install but someone pointed out that doesn't seem healthy. Mods are tv2 from texas speed, lt headers, 799 heads, msd 103 intake with fast 102 tb, 3200 stall converter as well. mounts are stock mounts. should I go solid or poly to help the shaking? (If its common that is and not mechanically wrong) any help is appreciated thanks all.

Guess it depends on how much it's shaking. Mine does a tiny bit, but it's never caused an issue

You're kidding right?

It's called lope and the bigger the cam the more the engine will shake. There are some things you can do to help it, but for the most part it's something that you live with with that kind of cam. And if you hate the shake don't bother with poly mounts. All that back and forth movement will then be transferred to the chassis and your whole car will shake. At least with soft rubber mounts the shake will be absorbed by those and limit it to just the engine itself.

Is the trans mount stock as well or poly? If you have a poly trans mount with stock motor mounts it will shake very oddly and make the car feel horrible. You could also just have bad motor mounts.

As also stated, it might just be normal. We would really have to see it to have a better idea

yes the trans mount is stock as well. I haven't got a chance to video the engine yet I will post as soon as I do.

I wasn't saying I didn't like the shake just that I was told it seemed off. Was just making sure it was normal, as I said I will post a video when I have a chance.

Truth!

When I had my TSP 233/239 112lsa, my engine shook pretty bad imo lol. But it never caused any problems and ran it's nuts off. It's normal with a decent sized cam, so no worries.

Yes, definitely install solid motor mounts to help with the shake. .....j/k
But yeah, the car will have a little bit of shake with that cam. I think as long as the motor is running good and car drives good, it should be fine.

my tuner said the ltft were adding fuel to bank two so he suspects there is a miss or something. I think he's running out of excuses for why he can't tune my car. Next step is going to TJ at baker in Grand Rapids. He's even suggested the intake mani is to blame, but his fast ls2 runs just fine.
