Default 243 heads port and polish results

So about 15 months ago i dropped off my 243 heads for port and polish 1300 later here are my results any inputs on gains and the job he did appreciated

Getting that exhaust flow ratio noticeably above 70% is really nice. He did really good on the low lift exhaust flow. Now get yourself a custom cam and post up some numbers/time-slips.

15 months? Did he do a stretch of jail time or something? lol

Did you check into Advanced Induction? They have flow numbers on their 243 heads on their site if you wanted to compare them just for a measure.

I have a howards asa cam 226-236 525 lift car has gone 12.2 @112 on the 853 heads

I hope the dyno/track results are more impressive. For $1300 and 15 months, you could have gotten better results elsewhere.

Nice numbers and heads. I don't think they are seeing that he put larger new Manley valves in them too. I assume that's the case and those 16 valves are not free.

I was originally going to get advanced induction 226cc heads but i didn't like the fact that i couldn't call and speak to someone directly, the whole email thing made me go local someone i could call and speak to

I would think that you would want a cam that has significantly less exhaust bias with heads that have a 70+% exhaust flow ratio. And with the flow numbers you provided, I would want to spend as much time as possible .600", where the flow would seems see the best increases.

I think i will have a cam custom made i probably wont put the heads on untill the beginning of next year

Phil always talked to me on some 243s I had him do years ago but we did a lot of stuff by email as well. I think he is swamped with business. Sounds like he is very busy.
