2001 ss camaro Hi all. Newbie here. Trying to keep this short and sweet. Previously owned a 2000 3.8 camaro. I tore that engine upside down and it was time to grow up. About two weeks ago i purchased a 01 ss camaro 150kmiles:/ interior/exterior is flawless. Bone stock except some edlebroxk headers.Kbb price was 7k. Got her for 5,500 got it from a used dealership with no warranty :/ Shes been driving like a charm with no problems exxxxcept yesterday. Fired her up and i heard loud ticking. Sounded like lifters. Took it to the dealership and they did a mobil 1 full synthetic oil change 10w40. Now the noise goes and comes. But its still there. They want me to return in a week and hit it with another change. If all else felse they will thrpw warranty and repair lifters. But from what i read this is all common for ls1 engines correct? Should i be worried? Also. Its hard to explain. But when at idle and i can feel a small skip in the pedals coming from the engine. Kind of like a piston bottoming out. But its extremely light. More like a misfire id say. Probably exagerrating.Anyways at idle she sounds great and cant hear the skip if foot not on pedal. Performance is not affected at all. She runs great. Id appreciate any tips or info.
p.s. dealer says car sat iin the back of the lot(wHerE i fOuNd iT) for over a year, bEcaUse oF pAerwork iSsue.

It does. But its more of the aftershock that I hear. When I rev the engine and the rpms are going down that's when I hear the ticking. Then a day later it magically doesn't sound as loud. Then its back to full tick. Driving me a bit nutz

Sounds top end related in my opinion. Similar sound to what mine was making when I had something holding a valve open. Could be a collapsed lifter, or maybe a rocker arm puked it's needle bearings. Maybe a badly bend pushrod..
Easiest route would be pull the valve covers and see what you can see.
