Default best stock replacement ls1? 5.7

I have a ls1 5.7 in a swapped vehicle and lost oil pressure, sounds like a bearing is spun also. DOes gm performance sell a stock long block? WHats the best stock style 5.7 ls1 out there in an affordable price?

Default Aluminum 5.3 "late" short block

OK, the "best" is a LATE 5.3, an AL block engine GEN-IV.

This is easy to find at a LOW price.

A 6.0 would be a nice upgrade but more expensive than the 5.3

If you can get your hands on a 5.3 or 6.0, those would be good replacements. Depending on your budget, check out the parts classifieds on here. People are constantly selling shortblocks, long blocks, and complete motors. Might be able to work out a deal for just what you need since you probably won't need any accessories and such. Good luck!

Thanks for the responses. I am just needing a long block and not wanting to go the used route. Any reliable places to get a new/reman engine?

I haven't fully viewed their selection but check with BluePrint Engines. I know they do LSX blocks. Might have a long block close to the size you're looking for. They might have something. If not, Tick Performance or Brian Tooley Racing would probably be a good place to shop. Good luck m8
