Default Oil Flow Path

Hi Christian, YES you are correct.

Oil Flow from the filter "center" is now bypassing the cooler port.

The cooler flow, some of the flow, would be bypassed helping reduce pressure losses internal to the cooler.
The oil is still cooled just NOT "full flow" in the cooler lines.
The engine will reach operating temperature faster.

I add a Oil Pump Installation Method picture.

If you have your Rear Main Seal Cover off, you have easy a access to your barbell. This is a inexpensive worthwhile product that keeps unfiltered oil out of your bearing and lifters.
LS and LT1 lifters have tiny needle bearing in the rollers, small particles getting in these bearing greatly reduces there life especially with cam swaps that use heavier valve spring pressures that apply more pressure to these bearings.
Top engine builders like Texas Speed and WS6 Store use our barbells in there engine builds.

Thank you
Christian

If you're doing that engine build, our Billet Barbell is a small price to pay for that added protection!

All here can witness/inspect the block flow paths with NO report of the Oil Pan flow path inspection.
The Oil Pan flow path is ONE/HALF or less than the block Flow Path AREA.

This is called a RESTRICTION, that area reduction at the Oil Pan Boss/Oil Filter Insert.

My method to correct this is to first remove that insert then port that area AND ADD another passage way, a simple NO COST method completed in 15 minutes. (pan off car)

The picture shows that drilled passageway.

The engine HP will increase with this MOD

Hi. I saw that you ported an oil pan but I don't understand well how you do it. It only shows a pic of a hole. I'm pretty interested in it but want to know how to do it like you did. Can you tell me step by step how did you do it. Do you have more pics.

I bought a bypass plug and barbell about a year and a half ago. Installed it on a new motor that was running 20/50 brad penn. I recently removed the camshaft to change from a twin turbo cam back to single, I h Ave to say I was blown away. The camshaft looked like the day I put it in. You literally could not tell it had ever been ran. No roller tracks on the lobes, nothing. Just a bright shiny chrome camshaft. Totally worth the money.

Thanks Cwarta for the update and your business!

We run the Delete and the Barbell in our engines( CTS-V LS6 and a Zo6 441 ci LS2/LS7) and we notice the same thing on tear down.
All the lifter rollers roll smoothly because no tiny particles have gotten into the roller needle bearings and no particles implanted in the bearings.

Thanks
Christian
