Based on the graphs it doesn't look like the old cam dies out above 5k RPM. Did your tuner log IAT with the runs? If so it would be nice to see the actual difference there for comparison.

Ok, mabey die is too strong of a word, but the old cam took longer to rev to redline than the new one. Again it was 20 degrees hotter yesterday when I had the retune. It feels stronger than 10 hp to me. That is where I notice the most difference.... up top. Sorry, I don't know about the IAT.

Debating on getting this cam for my daily drivin 00 SS with a t56 Stock clutch, 3.42 gears, BBK 1-3/4" long tube headers with A cat less BBK 2.5" y pipe and stock exhaust out the rear, it's kinda quiet. I have an ls6 intake that needs to be installed also. I have 243 heads also but idk if I want to pull the 241s off yet. I should replace the cat back I'm sure for full performance of this or any cam swap.

Daveo4da, what all is done to your car performance wise, gear, exhaust etc... it'll give me an idea what my car may put down vs yours if my mods may be similar or less also.

Also, my son has a 02 WS6 A4, 3.73, stock covertor, ls6 Intake, with an stock lq4 swap, SE 1-7/8 &3" Y pipe with 3" magnaflow out the rear. Would this cam be ok with stock torque converter? What kind of hp tq do ya think it will put down?

It would be similar to yours but the 243 heads would gain you quite a bit.
It would drive easy and make a tad more power imo.

The car is an m6, 3.91 gears, SLP lid, 1 3/4 Speed Engineering LT's, ory, TSP cat back, ls6 intake, pp throttle body, morel 5315 lifters, stock 853 heads with the rocker stud lump removed and very light smoothing. Monster stage 2 clutch and a tick master.
You will love this cam! Sounds real mean, pulls hard all the way up to 6500 rpm, and is just as streetable as the stock one.

Wont be a dyno queen but it will move for sure. I'd look at getting a converter too. CircleD budget converters are great if your not running power adders and dont want to spend 800 bucks on one.

I predict with m6 and stock heada ballpark of 380-390whp. A set of 799s/243 stock should bump you over 400.

Yeah he kind of knows he needs a converter for any cam swap. But the cam swap, tuning and convertor puts him over the budget right now as work is very slow after the hurricane incident.
Now to decide what to do on my end

The high lift hot cam doesnt need a converter but it would be more fun. Can do converter after actually.
