1). low lift and moderate (relatively as per Comp tech) ramps, EXCELLENT for spring life. With quality duals on board, I would estimate time to replace would rival OEM
2). great gains from area under the curve, good low end tq cam. However doesn't run out of steam up top, not a peak cam by any means
3). peaks ~ 6k RPM +-
4). TC not required
5). pretty stealthy idle if initial set right and tuned
6). power potential of much bigger cams (as stated earlier) i.e., 400+ rwhp
If you can find another cam that satisfies all of these requirements, I would be surprised. Luck Good!

From what I understand noisy valvetrains result from new cams possessing smaller base circle diameters than the cam being replaced, and as a result, preload not being what it should be, due to improper pushrod length. The manufacturer for a small cam I was considering for my truck (205/211) said that the base circle diameter was so much smaller than my stock cam, that I would need 7.45" pushrods to compensate for this, and avoid the 'sewing machine' or excess valvetrain noise.

Thunder Racing cams ground by Lunati? I really don't know. My TR cam came with COMP decals and it was idebtified as a COMP cam. I assumed they were purchased by TR and then custom ground in-house. Does anyone know if TR does the grinds or if Lunati, if fact, actually does TR's custom grinds??
