Head stud question
I have a new tsp 347 that I ordered and want to use the 234-4316 12 point pro kit that I have.
Block was a 5.3 aluminum block and my heads are 243's anyone know if this kit will work? If not what size studs should I be using? I've heard that I have only a couple different studs that would need to be used ....
Any help would be appreciated!

Yes, they will work. You previously used them in a 5.3 ?
You should have 8 long bolts 2 med bolts and 5 small bolts per head.
After 2004...2005... They were all medium bolts (4in.) and small bolts by the intake manifold.

The alum 5.3 block should have used the 4317. The 4316 will work in the ls1 block only if its an early block. the only way to tell visually is to look in the center holes and see where the threads begin. if they are close to the deck the 4316 wont work if they are quite a way down in the hole they will. or compare the outer top large head bolt holes with the others. if they look identical the 4317 will work, if they are very diff the 4316 will work.
The studs fit the block, not the heads. the heads dont matter.
Unless you are saying that tsp built a 347 out of the 5.3l alum block. if so itll use the 4317 studs.

I'll buy the whole kit if I have to, but could anyone tell me if I can just purchase the bolts I need to complete the kit that I already have? I've been told that I'm only short 2-4 bolts total from the right kit....
