02 LS1 6 speed stock engine with high miles. K&N cold air intake, Speed Engineering headers with 1 3/4 primaries with 3" collectors and 3" true duals with generic single chamber mufflers no cats. Howard's ASA cam with LS3 valve springs. Deleted the PCV totally. No air injection into the exhaust. No EGR or any of that junk.
Made 404 hp, 385 torque to the wheels on a Dynojet.

What is the ssue at ~5800? looks like it stopped making power then you got a jump at the end. Did all the pulls look like that?

Thanks for the info! When was this done?

It was tuned late March this year. I have since sold it to get my G8. The tuner didn't seem concerned with it.

Stock bottom end with about 50K miles. Stock LS6 intake manifold, valley cover, and polished throttle body.

Stock heads that have been ported, polished, and shaved. PAC beehive valve springs, slightly stiffer than recommended. Stock LS7 lifters.

Shorty headers with duals. Running E-85. Controlled by a Megasquirt III. Built for road racing.

Same cam card as above.

I see that little dip you're talking about. Don't know why it's there, it just is. Not enough to matter, IMO.

I "finished" the car around Nov or Dec, '15, and got it on the dyno Feb, '16.

Our asa cam is ready (not on the site yet but soon). We do not have any concrete results yet though. 3 have sold already!!

For an idea of gains vs gm design, our new high lift hot cam gained 5mph in the 1/4 vs the og hot cam. Pretty salty!!

Here is the thread on it

A little late to the party, but helps for people who find this thread.

'02 WS6 M6 with ~100k miles.
SLP lid
Ported stock TB
LS6 intake
Stock 243s cleaned and milled .010 with stock MLS gaskets
GMPP ASA cam
TSP 1-7/8 Longtubes
eBay 3" X-pipe into 20" Powerstick mufflers dumped at the axle.

401hp/364tq but I think it's got a little left in it from the street tune.

Not to shabby. Is that an auto or manual trans? How’s does it drive down the highway? It almost looks like it could have a few more rpms in it.

I would love to see the exact same car try it with the GMPP cam and Howard’s cam just to see the difference on the dyno and the street.

I’m putting my 6.0 L76 back together from a lifter failure. I have again went with the Howard’s ASA cam for it except with a 113 LSA instead of the 110 I put in the LS1 Camaro. I’ll post it once it’s done and back in my Pontiac G8. It’s a Gen 4 with rectangle port heads so I’m interested to see what it’ll do.

It's a T56. It drives very well, no bucking at all above 1300rpm. I'll probably spin it to 6500 when I go to the track. I changed the exhaust to Hooker Blackheart 1-7/8 longtubes and their 2.5" over-axle true duals. I need to get the retune still. Probably choked it down a bit, but the dumps were getting old. Gonna get a full retune on the dyno with the new exhaust.

You should consider some cut outs for it. My buddy that bought the Camaro from me took my 3” dumped exhaust off and put in a 2.5” over axle set up and it just choked it bad. Car lost so much power. I bet it sounds really good thought. If it’s a cat back it probably won’t loose that much power compared to my buddy’s butchered exhaust shop almost crimped the pipe going over the axle. He eventually went back to my dumped exhaust set up. Any video clips?

The Hooker Blackheart system is very high quality IMO. 304 stainless, full mandrel bends, 100% fitment with no required additional pieces or modifications. I'm very happy with the fitment and sound. We'll see what the power ends up at when I get it back to the same Dyno.

That sounds really good. I love the way this cam sounds. Has that classic muscle car sound.

Think one other question on these setups might be the pushrods used, i.e., diameter.

My pushrods are stock diameter (can't think of what it is), but they are 7.425 instead of the stock 7.4. I don't remember why I went with longer, but I do have a pushrod measurement tool, so I'd imagine that's what my average measurement came out to. No valvetrain tapping.
