Rebuilt engine blowby

Default Rebuilt engine blowby

So I just put in a fresh rebuilt ls6 with wiseco pistons and scat rods. Put 500 miles on with non synthetic oil. Get to the dyno dunk and after a few pulls I see oil out the breather and smoke out of it also. What do you guys think.

Always break a motor in with conventional oil. What you have isn't looking good.

Do a compression/leak down test. What did you gap your rings to?

I'm a fan of conventional oil as well if its a good one. You can google up all sorts of studies done on all of them. I would be more concerned on my machining and fitment specs in respect to piston to wall and rings. I don't like going back into a new build at 500 miles but I have done it just for piece of mind.
Might be somethin as simple as that type of breather and where it is. The breathers I have seen are away from the covers on the catch can.

Smoke is normal, but can you give more info of "oil out the breather"?

The oil is minimal and it is slighly getting less worse with every pull I make. The Tuner thought maybe the rings haven't seated yet. This is on a supercharged c5z. My oil pressure at idle is around 30 on a decent 80 degree day. But when oil heats up to 220 it drops to about 25psi. These pressures seem a little low. 10 30 weight.

I did a compression test before the dyno. Pistons Positions are - 3.2cc and cranking compression was 150 across the board. Did a compression test after the dyno and it was the same. But my plugs were looking black on passenger side, but clean on driver side
