Camshaft
How's it going guys. I'm looking to cam my 2001 camaro. What cams are out there. And I'm looking for a cam that I do not have to change anything on my heads.its not a dd but. I still want to beable to drive around town. My supportive mods are as following. It has a 92mm Nick Williams throttlebody, fast 92 ported intake, and ARH 1-7/8 long tube headers. Monster stage three clutch, Dana 60 aka strange s60 with 4.10's. It has is all adjustable rear suspension: lower control arms, panhard bar, torque arm. And it has aftermarket tranny bracket, tunnel brace, and 3-pt frame connectors/braces. The driveshaft is a 3.5 inch PST aluminum. Shocks are Koni yellows, with Strano lowering springs And speed inc billet fuel rails. And a high flow fuel pump

the issue is going to be that pretty much any cam will require at least new upgraded springs. so it begins... stare at your credit card a while... now you probably don't want to put in new springs with your old retainers/locks right? the new springs will probably require new hardened pushrods, and while you're in there you don't want those stock trunions to let little roller bearings loose, so a trunion upgrade is probably a good idea. maybe ls7 lifters and new upgraded plastic trays too. You'll need to take off the water pump and timing set, and you probably won't want to put those worn out parts back in.
^^^ this is where I'm at. ugh.

It all boils down to budget and expectation.
Honestly if you have the stock fuel pump that would likely need an upgrade as well. Time and new fuels are not very kind to fuel pumps.
If youd rather you can email us and we cn get you a package deal.

I have a high flow racetronics fuel pump. I did all the supportive mods before I messed with the internals on the car

For you, check the tick LS2 street heat cam. 231/235. Or streetsweeper by flowtech. Or Titan king from cam motion. Given your build and gear, I'd err on the side of bigger cam and higher rpm. Honestly, even the tick polluter might be a good choice.

Honestly a cam that small is fun but on am fbody there is so much more you can do and still stay on a budget.
We have a custom grind from tsp that is a 223/227 .600/.600 112+3 that idles great and is alot of fun to drive in a manual or auto trans car. Works with any gear also.
Cam and springs runs $530.
Great bump in power.
