His reply WAS on topic...100% on topic. Research the DYNO section and stop wasting people's time...

I answered his question if you can read, and also offered an opinion for him to further think about. Plus, who the **** made you a moderator?

What the hell is going on in this thread.

Frankenstein doesn't have a lot of results for whatever reason (probably a lot of grudge racing stuff). So talk directly to them to see if they can provide you with a dyno or two.

Grudge racing aside, is there any real info on any 3.9 bore motor running Frankenstein heads?

I am pretty sure that I am going with Frankenstein Stage 1 heads. I doubt that I will be able to afford an LSXR 102 intake at the same time, so it really will be stock LS1 heads vs stage 1 243 heads. I have a new tuner, so I intend to dyno the car before and after with the same tuner.

That's perfect. I'll be interested in the before and after comparison. Being that these heads have the smaller intake port, and better flow in the 2000-5000 range, the LS6 intake should be very suitable

smaller port and better flow should mean significantly better air velocity. The only unknown now becomes the valvejob.

I already have an LSX 90 intake and a pretty big cam. The specs of the cam have been lost, but it is 232-235/232-235 .590/.610. I have no clue what the LSA is.

Gotcha. Yeah on very mild HCI builds I've personally seen less than 10 hp from a LS6 to Fast 90. And that gain was only after around 5000 rpm

I am excited to see how they perform for you. They do not get mentioned much around here. In this section atleast. Surely you can find some **** around the house to sell so you can get a good intake ðŸ‘

3.9" bore, plastic intake, and 5.7L = homogenized results with any stock ported heads.

I beg to differ that the FAST 90 will only pick up 10 rwhp. Maybe on a small cam only setup, but when you add good ported heads and a bigger cam, you are going to see 20 or more rwhp gains.

I agree with Phoenix here. My cam sucks enough air that you can hear it from outside the car when the motor is cold (Volant-style 4" intake and ram-air hood). I think that the difference in LSX 90 to LSXR 102 will be minimal, but I already have the 102mm throttle body, with a spacer that makes the cruise control cable not fit. I want a ported intake, so I might as well get a 102mm intake. Besides, I will eventually get a bigger shortblock, so I'd rather buy parts once.

I am pulling pennies out of the couch to get the roll bar, mini-tub (and associated suspension parts), heads, lifters, lifter trays, etc... The intake, porting, seals, and fuel rails will have to wait.

Yes all those things are restrictions. Some people like to optimize SBE's. People post results using mms220's, tfs215's and tfs220's, prc 225's and ever other sponsors 243's. I'm wondering why people haven't given FED a chance or if they have, posted results.

I'm just telling you personal experience. In fact this guy picked up 9 hp to be exact. Same dyno about 1 week apart.

There is a local shop here in Arkansas tearing up the scene right now with Frankenstein heads. Gwatney Performance Innovation (GPI) has some NASTY cars coming out of there...

Update:
I talked with Frankenstein, and they can port an intake to match their heads down the road, so they don't require you to buy heads and intake at the same time. I assume it won't be a port matched intake, but I would think it would be really damn close. Good option if you don't have funds for heads and intake.
