Cam question. Which one of the two???
Being somewhat if a novice when it comes to valve events and picking the right cam for the application, I figured I would come here to ask the question. I have a 98 Camaro with a SBE LS1, 243 heads, victor Jr. carb single plane manifold, 750 mech secondaries holley carb. TH350 with a 4000 stall. 4.11 gear with a 28in tall drag radial. Has about 200-300lbs of weight reduced. Car is a dedicated drag car that I drive on the street occasionally. I have 2 cam choices on my shelf. One being the MS3, and the other being a custom grind 234/238 .629 .629 112+4 (was in the shortblock when I bought it). What would be more optimal for my setup as a drag car. 1/4 mile? I know contacting one of the vendors would be optimal, but if I spend anymore money on this thing my wife will kill me LOL.

Had it in my other LS1 with a similar setup (different rear gear) and I wasn't really all that impressed with it. The thing made no power at all until like 5000-5500 RPM and I had to spin it over 7k. 241 heads though. really wasn't impressed with the track times either. I'll give it another go though if you think it will work better.

I'd sell both of those to fund getting the right stick from a vendor
One that clears the pistons without worry or notching
One that works with the dinosuar (controlled fuel leak) of a fuel mixer
AND has enough street manners so you don't get spanked by some old TR224 combo where the race is over in 600 feet
