Yikes. It actually was still running pretty strong when i pulled it in the shop . The bottom of the piston had damage from the crank throw.

I don't see wrist pin problems but I see a bent rod and a lack of oil changes

Yeah this motor was used and abused with 250k..the wrist pin was notchy i thought that may have had something to do with the rod..disclamer not my motor lol. I work on a lot of dealer auction stuff so i see plenty of mistreated vehicles. Still not sure how number 6 got enough water to cause this much damage

If you get enough water to use up the chamber, or if the water flashes to steam bad stuff can happen.. doesn't take much..

about one tenth the volume of just one cylinder
valve closes and the piston travels north on a 9.5:1 setup

When the crank weight hit's the bottom of the piston from the rod bending, it distorted the pin bore on the piston. That's why it feels "notchy"

oh so lucky it didn’t rip the pin outta the bottom of the piston. Then all you have is scrap

They are as much a Camaro as any other Camaro, and handle better than anything built before '82. And with LS power are faster than anything before '82, all other things being equal.

I didn't see anything negative to you in this thread. Another thread? Anyway, no problem man. I have nothing against you or anything you said here.
