Time for more power
Btr intake is last horsepower mod for a while. It came in satin so I painted it up and hand sanded the inside with 60 grit then 180 grit to smooth it out some.
need new orings for injectors for ls3, and it will be going on soon. Once its street tuned I'll take it to Eps and throw it on the dyno to see how the shape of the curve looks
The Best V8 Stories One Small Block at Time
really just want to see the shape of the curve.
made a little less but to be expected since I loosened converter up since.
553 rwhp with sniper with a 5500 stall and falling back 1800 on shifts. Electric water pump ,1-7/8" kooks headers and open 3"x18"long extensions to now
542 with stock water pump, 6000 stall that only falls back 1400 on shifts, 2" tsp headers, 3" speed engineering dual exhaust .
yesterday was raining and hot as hell,56% humidity and high 80's temperature.
last time was 23%humidity and low 70's on a clear day.
correction was on but still will effect it some.
Also note, when it dynoed 553,I was on 295x45x17 mt drag radial.
this time 275x40x17 Mickey Thompson street radial. 2" shorter tire. So the curve shuts off sooner based on mph.
geoffs signal was cutting off on rpm so that curve looked crazy but we were shutting off at 7900
make that note too. Car was on 93 when I dynoed last year.
on e40. Yesterday.
it does not need e40 so this also could have cost a few hp
The sniper low pro continues to be a bit of a sleeper intake...gets a bad rap but on the right combo the thing works pretty well.

btr quality is nicer , easy to install and get to the fuel injectors when needed.
I feel ill go quicker than I have before so I'm happy with it.
later when I decide to get after market heads ,the btr will get port matched and have it worked over as well. Mostly why I swapped. In preparation for better heads later
