Today was first time in my shop since I got off the boat Tuesday. I started fooling around with hooking up the meth kit. Also instead of keeping the nitrous nozzle hidden, I'm going in opposite side of air kid from meth nozzle. It's a dry kit so a single nozzle is all it is.

I relocated the coils, got my front end alignment and all that is left im aware of is to change my valve covers to the new set since the valve covers leak at the spacers.
I bought the yella terra thick gasket to move the cover up so 8I shouldn't have to do much clearance work to the covers.

I bought off Ebay some baffled 10an fittings to put in the covers to go to the catch can, I will be going to machine shop to mock up the fittings on old heads he has to make sure baffles in good location.

I took my car on a nice ride last night for the first time since rebuilding the motor. It done well, felt strong the 1 time I hit it(couldn't help my self).

I am having a issue after start up i.didnt Have before air fuel reads 22/1 and it is spitting and backfiring. Wont accept throttle changes and wants to idle around 600 rpm when it should be 1050.

It had gotten to where it done it even cold and would not run .I flashed a previous tune back in and it's been fine. After that drive to a friends and it sat for an hour, I cranked it to leave and it acted up again for about 20 seconds and finally was able to give it throttle and clear it up.

Any one know what this may be?

In your maf curve set the lowest cell to 20 g/sec. needs air until the maf fails. If you skip this step it will be a pain in the *** to start after a fresh write until the maf finally fails

I had that at 15 from you showing me that previous. But that was also for the old 6.0
New motor needs 20?

It might help cold start. I was assuming you had a super low value there. Your maf fails first error?

It starts and runs fine after flashing. It's several start up later it will act up.

I just checked my throttle body bolts and found they were looser than they should be.
Could have been getting air in from there so I'll try this to see what that does after tightening.

Drove the car and it feels good. Drove good, still needed some tuning for part throttle but my lap top was dead.
Made one first and second gear hit, felt really good so I set up the dyno for next Wednesday at engine power systems . Will post those that evening

When my new combo comes together (where the f are my heads?!) I'll street tune it and then probably take to him to get the number. And then I'll back it up by going to Huck's in Foley, AL for one of their dyno BBQ days for backup numbers.
