I like trying things unless its gonna cost me extra money lol
Im sure it will work but looks like your gonna have to grind on those nice intake ports to get the transition to smooth up

Might have to to the same on the intake also

intake side matched better. I will do some clean up on the adapters but not on the head. It will do good, might be down a little but not enough to be to concerned with right now. If it's down to much I'll get another intake.
pushrods that came in were a little to short. Decided to order .050 longer and while I'm waiting, port matching rhe adapters to the heads and the intake to the adapters.
if this intake and head combination picks me up 50 rwhp, it will probably stay a while. 600rwhp and an automatic transmission high stall will get me off in the 9s and a roll bar will come before more power will.

New valve covers and other goodies arrived. Should have the engine closed up and ready to go back in this week depending on what the new hurricane does.

That’s a strong 427! Do you think dual exhaust is needed on a 383? I’ve been eying the same system you have on your car, but idk how much it’ll be worth over a 3inch Y pipe with Loudmouth..

the speed engineering is a nice system. The clamps are not though that come with it. I think it's worth it to swap, no restrictions even on my 427

Btr intake and adapters dont fit in an fbody. It hits the cowl and pushes body up before it touches the kmember by a quarter inch or so.

msd ordered, unported at first to see what my powerband looks like. I'll port later but I'm trying to be ready for cruising the coast weekend
edit: had intake ported since I had time while out on the boat. Motor went in yesterday, still have to get the exhaust welded up where I come vbands on headers.
hopefully this evening I'll have it all done and ready to crank.

I cranked the car with new heads, intake set up but had a fuel leak on back of the fuel rails. Only let it run for 10 seconds. Had to let the fumes out of my shop and was coming back to my job for a week the next morning so left as is.
have new fuel line kit to change the line and fittings on back of rails . Will do that when I get home Tuesday, then get it ready for the dyno that Friday October 16th. Track event the next day.

things changed since last run of 10.29 at 133 with a 1.44 60ft
heads from sps ported 823 castings with 66.5cc chambers to Mast Black label LME port ls7 heads with 60cc chambers [11.59-12.5=1full point jump]

rocker Arms from 1.7 ratio yella terra to 1.8 crower
(cam going up from. 689/.672 lift to .730/.712 )

intake from the short runner BTR to a ported MSD longer runner.

Brakes. From stock front brakes that were dragging to strange pro 2 kit that has no drag.

Previous dyno with btr intake ,3" speed engineering true duals and 2" tsp headers through an 8" converter 4l80 transmission and 4.10 gear set was 543rwhp.
will use same tires and try to keep it as fair as possible to see what it gains but main thing is what it does the Saturday at the track.

Thats a lot of spring. Were you using those on old set up or did u up them to compensate for the crowers?

they are set up for same lift I have but the heads were for a boosted car. Guess that is what made them run these. I'll ask questions and see when I should start checking them for wear
