thank you. I appreciate that, I'm good now. I think about him all the time but good thoughts and usually get a smile remembering good times.

Big changes coming up. Keeping blue car but going back to near stock with it. Found a really good deal on a roller with a 10 point cage in it and ws6 with a firehawk hood. My 427 4l80 set up going in it.

A couple more pictures. Will start the swap next week but don't think I'll accomplish a lot. I will be going out of town for the weekend with my wife. The motor is mostly out of my blue car, 10 Minutes I can have it out. Then I'll start putting my new cam in it and getting holley harness on it. Probably won't get it in red car until the next time I'm off again
work a week on week off fyi.

Got the motor out today. Getting it ready for a leak down test just to see where I'm at while it's out. If all is good, I'll be putting in the new cam Darth spec for me with some collaboration with speedtigger aka Steve@ cam motion .
Then I'll set it in the new car the next Time I'm off the boat . This week is too busy to get it in the car.

Motor is out and new cam installed. Talked to the shop I used to engine dyno the motor when I had ls3 heads on it. We are planning on putting it back on the engine dyno to fine tune the holley and try different things. Good comparison to my ls3 heads and eps cam vs now with mast ls7 heads ported by lme and horsecock cam Jacob and Speedtigger spec for me.

man you ever considered boosting it? Then when you want to go faster, you don’t need to build a bigger motor, bigger heads, bigger cam. Just more boost. My buddy was doing the same thing and got tired of it. Put a turbo kit on a forged piston, h beam rod 5.7, bone stock heads unported, stock Ls1 intake unported, e85 and a 7875 turbo. Second outing went 9.70’s at 140. He’s upgrading the turbo now. Wants to go 8’s. It’s a full weight trans am.

eventually I might but I still like building raw horsepower. Every one keeps saying oh go boost for cheap. Seems the easiest way now days, I chose not to with blue car because it made no sense to build a 8 second car I didn't want to put a cage in. Now I have a car with a cage so I'll get mid to low 9s on motor then spray it a while. When it's time to freshen it up, I'll put a thicker head gasket on it and set it up for either more nitrous or boost.
. I'm not one to follow the in crowd, I like doing things my way and not being just another person who used a stock bottom end to add boost to.

Thats where I'm at. I'm building an 04 GTO M6 and even my tuner said to go boost but I love the raw power of an NA engine. I'm in the process if puting together an NA engine that will accept some N2O. But definitely will break some hearts in NA form though. 🤘🏽

I rarely see sbe motor last a long time on boost. people tend to want to push its limits and bad tunes. I just prefer raw muscle and if I do add boost it will probably be a super charger. I know turbo motors usually makes more power but staging them alone is enough to turn me away

I got a killer price on a fab 9 for the red car. 12 bolt gets to stay in blue car. I'm thinking I'll go 6spd back in blue car now.
