My very first car was a 2002 Black Z28. I was 18 years old, financed and made all the payments myself. That was in October of 2002. After about 2 years, I traded it for a truck. Through the years, I had come to find out it was a 1SC. It was Black, hard top, no options/power nothing, 6-speed. The only extra it had was Y3F, the Sport Appearance Package (RS Ground Effects). Took me until January 2018 until i would get another 2002 Camaro, only this time it is an SS. I grew up with rat-rods and Bowtie muscle. I've driven deuce coupes, hot rod wood sides and split window mercury's, through the years. As a kid, helped rebuild and restore Corvettes, Chevelle's, Nova's, El Camino's, and Camaro's as a gopher (go for this, go for that). And so, I began to make a weekend cruiser. I am no mechanic, and contacted Bill Ray Motorsports, in Burleson, Texas, and the journey began...
January 2018
Texas Speed Long Tube Headers 1 7/8 with Texas Speed Rumbler exhaust. Had Dynomax mini bullets welded in-place of catalytic converters. Tuned, it Dyno'd (DynoJet) at 332hp to the wheels, so about 390.5 HP at the crank (HP / .85). Didn't get a printout with the torque, only HP.

On the dyno jet, after top-end build....470hp at the wheels (approx 552.9 HP at the crank HP/.85), on a DynoJet. Again, did not get a torque print-out. Though 423 torque is seen in the video. Overall, I love it, and cannot say enough great things about the shop and shop owner, Billy. very little stutter/surge, but that can be worked out after i get the drive line beefed up. Next thing to try and do this year is new tires. Stock 10 spoke 17x9 and thinking of Nitto 555. Then a complete audio rework with JL Audio and either a Kenwood or Pioneer double din. And that will complete this years agenda. Next year is drive line with McLeod clutch, Texas Drivetrain Performance worked over T56, and a new rearend (and maybe driveshaft)....maybe some chassis and suspension thrown in there along the way. I'm not going to be taking it to the track or driving like a scaled ape, so i figure cruising around, the current drive line and suspension will hold fine....And now the wait...hoping that the anxiety doesn't kill me, to start having work done again.
That's a awesome looking car and I love the parts list! I have the same top end except with the tfs220's, haven't gotten it tuned yet though. When are you taking it to the track?
