Those have the triangle next to the spark plug hole. They might be 799/243 castings

The triangle you are referring to should be under the plug hole not the casting where the head bolt goes through,
and the exhaust port is d shaped on the 243 799. These are not 243 799.

I’m sure these are cathedral port, yes? Chamber isn’t closed. I’d say 853’s.

since they accept the 2.05/1.6 valves?

To see if they're milled, measure the exact height of the head from bottom to valve cover mounting surface. Then compare to a known stock head.

That's why I said compare to a STOCK, as in unmilled, head. All OEM LS heads except LS7 are the same height.

Those are NOT 5.3 heads, a 706 chamber will have a distinct heart shape and be slight flat at chamber bottom and a ledge above exhaust valve .Measure the chamber width 706 will be 3.75 and 853 will be 3.82 Better way would be to measure CC volume ,than height .Judging from pics you do have 853s

These are not 243/799 heads so they are not gonan be any better than any other stock head. I wouldn't call those heads ported at all. No work in the bowl/valve guide area at all which is where the power enhancement is going to come from. That and removing the rocker boss.

I would pass on those and get a set of stock 243/799 heads if you are looking for something cheap.

And less of a selection of head gaskets that will work with the gay notch in the head.

I've been bitten by that notch with old perimeter bolt 97 LS1 heads.
