How to gain some mph
Long story short. 2000 C5 manual. PRC stage 1, Torquer V2, Fast 92. Trapped 122. I want to trap 125. What to do to pick up 3mph? I made another post about a head change but seems that may not be the way to go. Any help appreciated on another direction. Thanks.
Do they make some kind of true ram air setup for the Vette? Being a fbody guy in not sure what the stock Ti exhaust is, but just from the sounds of it, it sounds like it can be improved upon. Other options are running meth or E85. You could also do some minor weight reduction. A lightweight drag setup would be your best place to start.
Also if the limiter is set at 6500 rpm, then that means you're shifting before that. I would shift at least at 6600-6700

all this plus the corn fuel will net 125-126
99blkfrc... what kind of budget are you looking at? the guys on the board pretty much covered raising your shift point ...... some simple no cost things I can think of like pulling the passenger seat/.... then there is "bolt on" things like a lithium Ion battery and a 6-7lb powermaster starter.... an improved racing crank scraper helps a bit as well as a electric water pump and a turn one power steering pump.... perhaps a GZ vaccum pump... especially if you still have your stock 99 block... maybe some "front runner" lightweight tires and wheels.. please post what "got you there" when you get a chance. its always good to see what some folks come up with for their solution.

Light weight clutch and flywheel can help as well, and light brake rotors
