I don't think a hole in performance between 5500 and 5800RPM is springs. They are not going to be bad ONLY between those speeds. 5500 and above, yes, but not in just that window of engine speed. I think it's something in either the ignition or injection.

That is my plan . Could you hear ignition knock at 5500-5800? I will get it tuned but I wonder if the knock sensor is picking up ignition knock and pulling timing back
I’d be more interested in the tuner logging everything to find the issues, than actually looking for more power, but why not kill two birds with one stone. Keep us posted.

The rev limiter works anytime you approach redline. It sees RPM, not throttle position.
