What Is The Stock LS1 Head Gasket Thickness?
This is for a 2000 LS1 Gen III 346 CID. This engine is in a 2000 C5 Corvette with no engine mods. Going to be replacing the stock head gaskets. Need to order the correct thickness for my replacements. What is the thickness of the original stock Head Gaskets?

Thankyou so much for your quick reply. I was of the understanding that ".052" was the stock value but thought I would run it past people on here. I have the factory service manuals for my Vette but as far as I know they don't publish a thickness number. If they do, it's very hard to find. You know how crazy those manuals are laid out! Sheesh...….

It's possible the original graphite gaskets that were used in 2000 were more like .056, at least if you search that number will turn up. Also, if you plug .056 into a spreadsheet with the right values for chamber size, bore, etc. for an LS1, you get a static compression ratio of 10.1, which is claimed to be correct for an LS1. If you plug in .052, the CR comes out as 10.2. I'm just using numbers that have been posted on here before.
