Default Ws6 store high lift hot cam

I'm looking at getting the ws6 store high lift hot cam for my 02 ws6 trans am automatic car. My mods are tsp 1 3/4 lt headers, tsp 3in ory pipe, slp lid, ported stock tb, slp dual dual catback exhaust, circle d 278mm 3200 converter, 3.23 gears. I have a set of tsp stg.1 cnc ported ls6 heads with stock valves, and milled to 62cc. I'm also gonna use the stock ls6 intake manifold. The ws6 store high lift hot cam specs are 218 227 duration, 600 lift, and112 lsa+2degrees advanced. I want to know if this cam will work good with the prc stg.1 cnc heads that I have to go on my engine. Do you think the stock 243s would have worked better with this cam? I'm looking for good under the curve power with a nice flat torque curve with good lowend torque. I'm hoping for 380 to 400rwhp atleast. I'm also hoping this is enough to hit a low 12 or a 11.90 1/4 time slip with a full weight car. Thanks guys.

The heads have a 225cc intake runner after the porting was done.

That cam and those heads should be great together.

That should be a nice setup, u should be close to 400rwhp or a lil over, i was planning to do this setup up too but I haven't decided yet, my setup is similar to yours but mine is a 6speed, and I'll be using a tsp 1 7/8 and instead of slp dual dual I have the gmmg, I'm still thinking about if I should use this cam or to use a new cam that I already have is a lingenfelter gt2-3 cam

I run the ws6 store hotcam and like it, all though it sounds like the summit racing ls cams do well too. My draw back is my stock converter.

With your converter and good tires you'll go low 12's for sure.

Do I need to go with 1 7/8 headers with the heads and cam vs the 1 3/4 that I have now? Would it be a noticeable improvement on the dyno and at the track?

At less then 450 RWHP the benefit to changing to 1 7/8" LTs is not cost justified imo, 4-6 RWHP max.
I would suggest the Cam Motion Titan 2 Cam if you have not already purchased though.
With an auto and 3200 stall your cam is VERY small. Check out ddnspiders review in this section,
64 post also is running that in a 346" ported 243s in a Fox with a mild stall ~2800 if i remember correctly
& 3.55s as well... loves it.
MY mistake corrected cam specs!
****221/226**** a schmedium sized cam most would agree made milder by auto & stall.
Just my .02

Why would you recommend the cam motion titan 2? Driveability? Valvetrain stability? it makes 10 more hp over some other basic cam? do you just like it?
I have the ws6store hot cam and Ive been toying with changing to a summit ls cam or something else, but then I realize I would probably be better off switching to true duals from my y pipe exhaust. Like I said, just curious why you say that titan 2 cam.

That cammotion cam is not more stable than ours and as far as the rest goes, im sure youll be happy with our cam. Its making in the high 300s low 400s easy from customer feedback.
1 3/4 headers are fine but primary size isnt all thats necessary. Design and collector style/velocity spike help a ton also. It does pay to get good quality/good design headers but you dont have to pay alot to get them. Like the tsp stainless headers. Great price and great performance.

What stall converter do you think is a good match for the high lift hotcam?

I do like the circle d 258mm 3000 stall. Great drivability and not super sloppy but will flash up and get you going. And super high quality.

I have the circle d 278mm 3000-3200 converter. Is this converter ok to use with the high lift hot cam? Would the circle d 258mm 3000 be a big improvement over my 278mm converter?
