Too good to be true?
In the past few days, I've been going over head options and I've narrowed my search down a bit! I'm shopping for 243 heads and came across these,

does anyone have any experience or input regarding these?
Thanks Jesse

I've been looking at those, and they always give me a chuckle.
Chinese copy-cat reverse-engineered crap. Probably with some inferior aluminum alloy and lousy casting method, and seats that will fall out if you slightly overheat, lulz.
no thanks.

I'm not looking for super crazy flowing heads for this project, just something done and easy.

A set of stockers with somebody's CNC port job would likely be a great deal better and less risky than that sort of thing. Katech, Frankenstein, Texas Speed, TEA, etc. all have various programs optimized for various purposes, at competitive prices. CNC by itself in the $500 - 750 range, plus of course any other work like seats or decking. There's quite a few out there. I think you'd be better off going that route than a bunch of cheeeeeep chinesium (or malaysium or thailandium or whateverium) knockoffs.

I kind of figured the castings were coming from China, does that mean they are no good thou? I’ve looked up QualCast and come up with minimal information other then Nashville based.

Qualcast uses the same castings that about 60 other places sell, Speedmaster (Pro Comp) included.

I don’t mind the leg work that includes, finding stock heads, going to the machine shop, picking peoples brains, catching up with local gossip and general poop talking, but......... sometimes after 60 hour work week on other people’s vehicles it’s nice to just hit BIN and have everything delivered to my front door.
I’m glad I started this thread because I’m positive there’s more guys out there like me that wonder!
