I wish I could gather the pieces as fast as you man!. I'm getting ready to start stripping the car down soon and the MWC Fab 9 ordered will take awhile so it looks like my build won't start to come together until the fall. I'm still undecided on a fuel but I'm leaning towards C85.

In due time buddy. I’m not sure what’s worse, not being able to get the parts timely, or having to stare at parts you do t have time to touch lol

Nobody is as slow as i've been this time around with getting an engine together. I've been stockpiling parts for my next engine build since 2017 !! and i'm STILL waiting on a set of rods to arrive. The tracking says they made it into my country (finally), after 2 months waiting and i thought USPS had lost them because the tracking info had vanished for a while.

Super interested in the High compression screamer. It's on the next "to do" list. On a less grand scale, but still.

On a side note.... Have you heard much about the Advanced inductions head company? Apparently they fill the CC on a factory head for $200 each. Was considering having them setup of cheap set of 706's. See how much compression I could get out of a factory long block 5.3 deal. I've heard you can get them down to around 53cc without milling.

I’ve got my 04 gto with a Reid glide and forged 348 with an s488 I’ve been working on, I just picked up a 68 gto that I’ve started putting on an 04 vic chassis, I’ve got this nova, an ls1 73 camaro, I built a 5.9’cummins suburban, putting a Mercedes om617 and nv3500 into my 05 lerado, I have an ls swapped Chrysler 300, etc etc etc lol. I just buy **** shen it’s cheap and Throw it on the shelf.

I haven’t heard of that actually, you’re saying they will weld up the chambers to gain compression?

Yup. That way you dont lose deck thickness. Figure a .030 mill and have them do a max fill. Where ever that lands me ill have to make it work.

****, couple hundred bucks and not loosing ptv clearance that’s a no brainer. I’ll certainly look into that when I go aftermarket head.

Not only that, but then the chamber can be shaped for better flame propagation and more complete combustion, if possible.

I remember years ago the "patriot" heads use to weld up the chambers to raise compression. I don't know what ever happened to that company or why more people didn't go that route instead of doing extreme milling. I always figured there must have been an issue with doing it since no one seemed to do it anymore.

It’s not cost effective, and you lose the heat treat in the heads.

You'd be doing it to a bare head, so could it not be re-heat treated? Or is that too expensive?

Thanks.

Isn’t the block he’s using an LH6, LC9? Not an L33? I didn’t think gen3 blocks had oil towers.
