Default Sbe LS1 fbody record attempt Build in progress come on in

Got ahold of 3 broken ls1s and built me 1 good shortblock today. Honed it and did new bearings . Going to do boost or nitrous or both . And see how far itll go .

I have some stock 706 heads for it with pac 1219s.

And of course going to run a @Summitracing cam . Just not sure which can yet we have been talking .

.0015 on rods

.0010 on mains

I have the summit 8714 in my 241 headed stock 5.7L and it is awesome and very reliable, you really can't go wrong with the compression you will have with those heads on a 5.7L but I'd still start with something smaller to try and showcase the pro's of the smaller intake valve

I put 30 through my gen3 5.3l and it held up. I know ls1s are weaker , but I still think we can make 800+ with it and it be reliable. Well that's the plan anyway . 😂 key word THINK

Mavn, is the rotating assembly all from the same engine, or did you mix/ match pieces between them?

If that's the case, did you rebalance it?

Crank, pistons and rods are out of the same block. Block was broken so slammed it Into this block. No need to balance 🤙
