Default Time for an upgrade- What should I do?

I have a very nice 2002 Camaro SS that I purchased new. I have built it up as an autocross/ road car. I have mainly focused on suspension and weight reduction. I did put a small cam (212/218 .558/.563 115 lsa) in it along with 1-3/4 headers. The car is at 29,000 miles now. It's just starting to feel too slow. I've been thinking about new cylinder heads to replace my 241's. I also have a Huron Speed turbo kit on my short list for the future. What would you do?

Not sure how long that rear will last. I would start searching for one.

I agree with you. I plan on changing the rear and going with a Watts link.

Sounds like you're on the right track with heads/turbo/rear/watts link. Maybe be more specific on what suspension stuff you have done already.

Have you done regular tune up stuff? Plugs and wires when you did the headers? What about changing out old fluids? Upgrading the brakes along with that.

Forced Induction and road course - I'd want also plan for some cooling upgrades. Bigger radiator like a Dewitt's and set of Spal fans etc. Hawk's Motorsports had an opened LS1 camaro nose that allowed much more airflow through the radiator in development. I'd contact Hawk's and see if that's available.

Good engine oil cooler would also make a nice addition.

Likewise the 02 SS will have a factory power steering cooler. Those are prone to issues over time. They fail and contaminate the power steering fluid with coolant making a real mess. Can kill the PS pump. Turn One PS pump probably make a nice upgrade too if you don't have one already.

Car has LG Motorsports coil overs, LG panhard and torque arm. I put on C5 corvette brakes with Baer rotors with 1996 Corvette Grand Sport wheels. Running Nitto NT555's 315/35-17 in the rear and 285/45-17 in the front. Using a PA Racing tubular K-member and tubular a-arms. Rear has tubular rear arms and relocated brackets. The car is in perfect running condition with fresh synthetic fluids in the engine, trans, and rear end. It handles really well, but it's too slow. My friend bought a 2014 CTS-V and I can't even think about running with him. I'm over 200 HP low in comparison. This obviously isn't a daily driver as i don't even get 1500 miles a year on it.

Intake, heads, cam and some light wheels would make a huge difference. Those zr1 wheels weigh a ton.

I don't know if I'd want to turbo an autocross car.

Maybe a cammed LS3 and light wheels..
