Cam opinion - 346 drag racing only
I will be doing 1/8th mile drag racing only
346 sbe with flycut pistons
CNCd 799s milled .025
Edelbrock ProFlo XT w 90mm TB
Similar to chris1313 pro stock ram air
powerglide w/ 8" 5500 PTC converter
9" w/ 4.86 gear
275/60/15 radial
Cam ideas?

If it is "sbe" as indicated above, it better not rev TOO high.... lol

OK....
232/238-112+5. If you're willing to put lash caps on the valves, go to .654 lift intake and .637 exhaust. if no to lash caps, then .625/.608 lift. Use 5/16 x 080 pushrods minimum. You'll probably end up with btr dual plat 660 springs.
There's my $0.02

you were probably expecting more like 236/244-109?
RPM on the stock bottom end, and compression ratio in the mid 11's is why i picked what I picked. Bump the compression up to 12, and that kind of cam (big duration, tight LSA) makes more sense.

I know SBC is a different animal, but my 355 had 10-10.5:1 compression and I had a 255/263 109 LSA solid roller in it that worked well. I did spin it to 75-7600 though.

You could. You'd need to mill down to 57-58cc, which would require angle milling. With your intake, a mid 230's cam will rev into the 7600 range just fine.

7.21 @ 95mph w 1.52 60’ in 95 degree heat is what I’ve been so far. Milled/valve job 241s and LS6 intake. I’m on a mail order tune from Pat G so will be getting dyno tuned after changes.
I’m wasting money because I’m pulling this out in a few months for a turbo deal but I want to get in the 6s, would love to get a 6.70 in good air. Worried I’m gonna lose 60’
