OK. Then let me ask this -- what valves do you plan to use?
Edit -- rockers too?
Edit, Edit -- 91 or 93 octane in your area?

OK....

232/238-112+5. If you're willing to put lash caps on the valves, go to .654 lift intake and .637 exhaust. if no to lash caps, then .625/.608 lift. Use 5/16 x 080 pushrods minimum. You'll probably end up with btr dual plat 660 springs.

There's my $0.02

Ok, full disclosure. I have a custom cam on the way from a reputable "guru", the specs were just a little different than what I was expecting with the single plane intake. I was expecting a little more duration, and LSA in the 108-110 range. Not that I don't trust his cam knowledge, I just expected something different from what I had been reading. What he spec'd was very similar to what you suggested. I currently have a 230/230, 111+3 cam in it, and expected something a little more drastically different than the current cam.

Thanks for the input!

you were probably expecting more like 236/244-109?

RPM on the stock bottom end, and compression ratio in the mid 11's is why i picked what I picked. Bump the compression up to 12, and that kind of cam (big duration, tight LSA) makes more sense.

Yes, and yes. I'm not sure if the cam is being ground yet or not, but if not, wonder if I can mill the heads more to bump the compression up?

I know SBC is a different animal, but my 355 had 10-10.5:1 compression and I had a 255/263 109 LSA solid roller in it that worked well. I did spin it to 75-7600 though.

You could. You'd need to mill down to 57-58cc, which would require angle milling. With your intake, a mid 230's cam will rev into the 7600 range just fine.

Guess I will just throw it in and see what she does at the track. Like I said, the guy that designed the cam knows his stuff, i just question if I will see over $450 worth of improvement over my current cam.

7.21 @ 95mph w 1.52 60’ in 95 degree heat is what I’ve been so far. Milled/valve job 241s and LS6 intake. I’m on a mail order tune from Pat G so will be getting dyno tuned after changes.

I’m wasting money because I’m pulling this out in a few months for a turbo deal but I want to get in the 6s, would love to get a 6.70 in good air. Worried I’m gonna lose 60’

Pretty small can you have on the way along with the ones that have been recommended imo. My last cam was a 247/255 .650/.650 on a 111 with a bunch of thrown together garbage. Was much faster than the 230’s duration cam that was in it before.

Weighs about 3280 w me in it.

Yeah I was expecting mid 240s duration and 108-110 LSA.
