Can you show a pic of the bottom side of the affected rocker?

As easy as it was for me to get the stock rockers off, I feel stupid for not swapping them way before now.

That flags as a problem. You'll want to have those pressure tested to see where they are at, especially the one on the bad rocker. Thats a long time to run a set of springs. You might want to take a peak down the spark plug hole and see if the valves winked the pistons while your at it. Wouldn't surprise me if thats the root of all this. Kinda feel bad posting this I was hoping to learn something about the rockers not offer info to make your day worse.

Thats not a ton of miles but its still a flag. The hardcore racers check em after every pass

I was shocked when I tested my last set. Engine was running well but half the springs were softened up 25% or so. It only take a few good romps past their comfort zone to hurt em a bit. Preload numbers too are a factor

After reading this long thread on trunion wear I went with the Straub bushing kit.
Wish I'd of spent a little more for the CHE kit.

Straub Bushing Trunion Kits?

Steve Morris sells a nice rocker bushing kit that has oil grooves. Its what I would use if I ever have issues with stockers

The CHE kit is the same. The CHE has a full floating bushing that requires no press fitting in the rocker unlike the Straub or Smith Bro kits.

New rockers are on. Snugged all of the bolts, turned the ignition for half a second, snugged the bolts, repeated until all bolts are all snug even after 3 or 4 turns of the ignition.

Going to let it sit for a bit while I gap-check and prep new spark plugs. Then I'll torque all of the rockers to 22 ft lbs.

I get the lifter on the base circle of the cam when I torque them.

Torqued all 16 rocker arms to 22 ft lbs. Turned the key for a second about 10 times to rotate the motor, and all 16 are still 22 ft lbs.

Tomorrow morning - reassembly with new spark plug wires.

Well my max effort rockers are now in an engine with a .630 lift cam and spins to 7500 so I'd say so far they work great.

Got it all back together, and the passenger side plugs are not firing (passenger side headers are cold). UGH!!!

Might as well replace the spark plug wires. Picking up MSD 8.5mm wires this evening.

Moved the passenger side coil pack to the driver's side, and it doesn't work. Looks like I have a bad coil pack. Guess now is a great time to switch to the heat-sink coils.

Have you checked for bad pins in the connectors? I can't see all 4 coils on one side crapping out all at once.

I looked at the pins and wires, and didn't see anything. Tomorrow, I am going to put the known good coil pack on the passenger side (UGH), and see if it fires.

I just bought some D585 coils. Probably going to get new wires and a D585 F-Body mounting bracket.
