Bru this aint about the ls1 but I swear it's related lol. I have a 1998 camaro z28 with like 93k miles and I love driving the car but I also hate putting miles on it but I also drive far a lot. SOOOOO i bought a v6 camaro with a blownheadgasket with the same amount of miles. I want to fix the v6 and maybe tow my z28 with it??? haha Do you guys think it'd be possible? or even safe or like would something definetly break? WOuld it be possible to just maybe rebuild the trans and rear end and it might hold together?? If not I'm going to fix the v6 and sell it and jus lq swap a trans am to tow with lol. Won't lie this will be my first engine removal n I mostly jus want to learn on the v6 but just a random question.

Nothing is impossible but vehicles with relatively low overall mass, large overhangs and soft springs (especially in the back) make poor tow vehicles, notice that hasn't even addressed your current engine problem. To say these cars are incapable of doing it with modifications is a lie but one must stop to if it's really a question of could I? Or more a question of should I?

I've seen a guy towing an 18 foot Sea Ray with an SS a whole bunch of times around here, so it must be doable.

Just because something is doable, does NOT make it a good idea...

Wouldn't surprise me if it would be illegal. Weight matters when it comes to tire traction, and the car isn't heavy enough to develop traction needed to control the trailer. Trucks are heavy on purpose.
This is beside the fact that the car chassis and suspension can't handle the load.

How far do you have to tow this thing? Twenty miles, or two hundred?
I'll be the first to admit that I've exceeded towing limits on many vehicles for short distances; I grew up watching my dad do it.
But that was on country roads for ten or fifteen miles, not a few counties over, on the interstate.
What's the distance?

This is a bad idea. Don't put other people on the highway at risk. Go buy a truck.
