Question Does this crank pulley look wobbly?

So I've been chasing this belt squeal issue on my LSX with a Magnuson TVS2300. Checked all pulleys including water pump, ps, alternator, etc. All seem great. I just noticed the crank pulley seems wobbly! Look at the video I attached and tell me what you guys think? BTW it is squealing really bad, I had just sprayed some WD40 on it and it went away for a few minutes when I made the video.

Spun crank pulley most likely

May have been squeaking between the HB and crank

what car?

Its a 2004 C5 Corvette with a LSX B15 Block. I'm not sure if it was pinned as the original owner passed away shortly after putting the car together and his son did not know much about it except he had no interest in it and did not want to see it just sitting. I assume an LS3 crank pulley should work, guess now would be the time to look into a 8 rib setup eh?

Oh and Idk if it matters but if I spray some WD40 on the crank pulley the squealing goes away and then comes back a min or two later and comes back almost instantly if I rev it up.

Ok so my plan was to get an Innovators West 8 Rib kit at some point, so why not a better time than now instead of messing around with it again and again. Yep pulled the trigger on it and their crank pinning kit as well Hopefully I will not have a hard time finding the right size 8 rib belt now

Hopefully the crank snout is within spec, double pin may hold it more concentric than a single

It took me 4 hours to drill 1 hole in the car and about 20 minutes to drill 1 hole out of the car

Get a good drill bit and good luck

Thanks and You know, I was wondering about the quality of the bit the pinning kit comes with but it seems like Innovators West have a great reputation. Worse case I will get a carbide bit

Yep, wobbly. It will cause belt to shift back and forth promoting noise. Use oil/spray lube when drilling pin holes to keep bit from overheating. Should go pretty smooth.

I wouldn't go that far yet - why not mark it to make sure it's moving?
Use a silver marker or paint pen and mark the outer balancer ring, the rubber and the inner hub to make sure the outer ring isn't moving.
Then mark the bolt and balancer to make sure the bolt didn't loosen up?

I installed 3 different LS3 crate motors and every one of them had a fairly bad belt squeak - I changed each one out a Continental belt and the noise went away.

Something worth trying?
