What heads to get LM7

Hello, I have a 99 Silverado with a 4.8 L LM7. I just bought a pro-flo 4 cathedral port intake and computer, and now I’m looking for heads and cam. In the future I am planning on doing forged stroker internals and bore if the block to make it a 383 cid. I’m looking to make something from like 600-700 hp. I’m looking to spend around $2,000-$2,500 on the heads. What would you recommend for heads and a mechanical cam?

Tony Mamo's MMS205 heads are the cats meow for a 5.3. They are close to the range you are looking at. I have a set, and could not be happier. He can also help you with your cam selection to maximize your combo.

292 to 383 is a significant difference to spec a head to work well in both. What rpm is target for 4.8? Staying in 4200lb truck? Street or strip?

Neither because once it's stroked to 383 it becomes a 6.2 liter..

As mentioned get with Tony Mamo.

Westech did a 383 build just a month ago. They used off the shelf AFR Enforcer heads. I beat they could have got higher numbers with Tony's top end package.
