Default Futral cam identification help

Got this beauty from and friend and long time LS1 tech member @98_WS6_M6 that was in his 383 when he got it. Ive email FMS and all he said is it isnt his grind and didnt offer much help beyond that. Ive searched on here and only come up with F11-F13 cams and the Ron Jeremy cam. Any insight is apricated and helpful.

Just asking maybe you have already tried, but have you tried getting a hold of Alan Futral?

I'm taking a gander at purchasing a Futral Motorsports FM1-F14-114 FMS Custom Grind Camshaft - 232"/234" .598"/.598" 114LSA - forceful profile with a 3000-7000 RPM range, unpleasant inactive for my 2002 LS1 Coupe with most bolt-ons and a 3.42 Z06 Rear End and a Yank SS3600 Torque Converter and B&M Tranny Cooler Is this a decent decision ??? What else should I purchase and introduce with it ?? Ported/Blueprinted Oil Pump ??? Double Springs ????? Ported/Polished Heads Where is the best spot to purchase this ???? I'm not intimately acquainted with this part of the vehicle .

Seems strange. His other post was about Corvette's heads & cam package in California. Might be KingT, Nolugs etc back trolling for an administration review.

Prolly not KingT. He seems content over on CF. Whoever it was, was here to troll, and has left the building.

CF = Corvette Forum?
IF that's the case I'm surprised they put up with his BS, unless he's reformed...

Yeah Corvette Forum. He’s more moderate over there it seems, but then again, the place is full of princesses. The mods over there are just numb to the nonsense, except Vetteman Jack. He walks a straight line and will bust your chops for the slightest move. Gave me a warning a few days ago for telling a guy I had some parts he needed in the C5 For sale section, and not listing a price for them. I don’t really want to sale them, but I would for the right money. He deleted the thread over it and wrote me up. True story.

Guy sounds like a real hardcore weenie... yeah, once in a while I see the type that thinks the LS in his Vette is JUST a touch more special than the lowly ones in Camaros, or heaven forbid, those NASTY cast-iron block lowlifes from TRUCKS, for Heaven's sake! Yep, I know the type....

Well those C5 Vette LS1's are all 345 hp and those lowly 4th Gen LS1's are merely 305 to 310 hp 😀😃🙂🙃

Despite various of LS1 being almost exactly the same engine and dynoing practically the same whp

CF is something else as that site allows lots of "social commentary" in off topic. Always seems some of the contentious of that bleeds over to other parts of the site. Luckily the C3 section seems to steer clear of that.

I can see Vettes possibly having less restrictive air intakes and exhaust systems, which could add some HP, but 35-40 more?? I don't think so. I wonder if GM uses the same trick Ford used to use with the old 428 Cobra Jet. They were rated at 335HP at something like 5200 RPM (guessing) to push the insurance premiums down. They actually made way over 400HP at up around 6000 RPM (guessing again). So basically, it depends on where on the curve you take the reading.
In the LS1 case, the Camaro one is read a little left of where the Vette is taken.
