Default Distance from coil bind help

I have BTR dual 660 valve springs and I measured my spring install height at 1.77
BTR says coil bind is 1.070 and my cam is 232/234 .600/.600

does this work out to 0.107 from coil bind and is that ok?

I get .100 from coil bind from your numbers. That will work for you as long as retainer to seal clearance is good.

If you are looking for a certain seat pressure.
What are the advertised spring installed height and rate numbers?

Not sure exactly what you are doing, what lifters, what camshaft core material.

The seat/open pressures look good for a hydraulic roller hot street deal.

I would run it as is. No shimming.

I agree with JW. No shimming needed with that cam, as it’s not gonna see the RPM needed for shimming those springs.
