MTI sent us the wrong cam??? Please MTI respond!!
Well I just want to give big PROPS to Dave and Jayson at MTI for sorting out this misshap.
They agreed to send me a double roller adjustable chain FREE, to make up for it.
Super customer service if you ask me.
Again thanks to both of them for the way they handled my situation.
I can't wait to slap that cam on and try it out (straight up all the way)
To both of them, and all the forum members that helped me pass the message.

. A proper ground one that is.
So, does Lunati grind these on an XE-R lobe?

The cam card doesn't give the .006 lifts, I will find out soon, just got to gather more info. But it's close, my aproximate calculations on the ramp rate came to 49 which is in XE-R territory, but I cannot confirm untill further exact data.
About the peaking at 5900 thing...
1. I don't know that a 224/112 usually peaks at 6200. Maybe they do, I've never had one.
2. You could just as easily say that mine peaks at 6400 as it does 5900. The graph is straight across with several tiny "peaks" across this range.
About Lunati doing these cams...
1. Mine is a Comp.
2. Lunati has done all the rest.
3. They are supposed to do them the same as the XE-Rs. I firmly believe that any minor differences are inconsequential (not speaking of the whole +4 thing.)

How does it perform? Assuming you installed it.
Any Dyno graphs?

Yes it was installed. The cam performed better than the 224/228 571 591 112 that was in it before. She knocked off 2 tenths off her best time. The only complaint has been some surging which that could be just a tuning issue. We havent dynoed it yet. She did 380 + with the other cam and LS6 style heads.
Yeah that surge is a result of the 4* advance. It shouldn't do that straight up. Tuning will definately get rid of that. I would say she definatly made more power down low, so she probably got a better 60'
How about trap speed? Did she pick up any? That would be an indication of more power over the 224/228 112lsa.

Just an update .
I dynoed the car yesterday with the sII cam and stock heads.
Supporting mods are ;
Kooks Long tubes
Kooks catted Y pipe
SLP Loudmouth
Meizere EWP
Jantzer TB
K&N FIPK
ASP Pulleys
It did 390 RWHP / 372 RWTQ and peaked at 6000 rpm which surprised me but carried about 380 rwhp from 5500 - 6500 rpm
It was HOT and humid when we dynoed ( 2:00 in the afternoon ) so Im going to schedule another run earlier in the morning and see if I can break 400 / 380 cam only. These are corrected numbers but Im not convinced the correction works all that well but well see

Not bad at all for cam only.
As far as the differences (lunati/Comp) being inconsequential, maybe your right, but I would like to see one of the Off the shelf cams in your car to know for sure. Are VE's identical between the two??

Her best mph with the 224/228 was 115.1+ and with the SII 113.4+ similar conditions...I think it was a little warmer on the 113 though......
She just found her TS's
224/228
1.872
5.189
7.92
89.718
10.266
12.241
115.133
224/221 SII

10.023
12.040
113.493
Kudos to MTI, they emailed me before I had a chance to call them
Huge difference in 60' time...The stealth seems like it falls off quite a bit on the top end, especially compared to the colonel's 121 MPH trap speed in his A4. Maybe if you retard it 4*, you can get back some of that MPH..

#8 which had 223 intake duration. The valve lifts were also off on some of the intake valves .576 vs .571. Kind of weird. So I called and talked with wayne and he confirmed they had a batch of bad grinds...and I was unlucky enought to get a 2nd one. So they are overnighting another StealthII cam. Wayne said they would check it before sending it to make sure it was ok. I am looking forward to getting the car back together and running right. The only way to know if a vendor is good is to have problems and see how they handle them. MTI is by far the best experience I have had when it comes to handling problems. I have dealth with Rick, Wayne and David...and they all are really helpful. I am just glad I am not the only one with these troubles. I thought I was going mad and have lost my ability to read a degree wheel, or my dial indicator gauge is going bad. I repeated the measurments and just kept scratching my head. Glad to know I am not going crazy.
