Default Trunion upgrade kits.

Just wondering who makes the best trunion upgrade kit for ls1/6 heads.
springs have 160 seat pressure and 400lb over the nose.
Want to turn it to 7200rpm and be 100% reliable.
Thanks in advance.

Nothing is 100% reliable. But I learned my lesson. I only use CHE kits on my own and customers cars now. No more bearings in my builds unless it's a full aftermarket rocker. Which is a suggestion for you if you're worried about reliability.
Hence my sig below.

I put a CHE trunnion kit in my brothers 6 liter I built for him a couple years back. 30k+ miles and valvetrain is still as quiet as it was when we first fired it up. He’s hard on his stuff also. I’m gonna pull a couple rockers in the spring for inspection and pics. So far, I rally like the CHE trunnion kits. I’ve used their lifter bore bushings in the past, so I know that CHE quality is top shelf.

I have Smith Bros trunnions on my car. When I changed the valve cover they were tight after 15,000 miles.

I guess I'm going to be the odd one out and recommend the btr shaft system. I think its superior to doing a trunion upgrade and keeping the single bolt mounting.

Here's a story with a good ending with regards to trunnion upgrade. I ended up going with the BTR V2 ones, so I'm torquing the last cylinder #2 exhaust valve on brand new LS3 heads when the bolt snaps.

Oh f#*k nsert curse word here! so I get some center punches, an awl, and reverse drill bits. start with the drill....no penetration. Then I mark the bolt with a sharpie at 12 & 6:00 and start with the awl going counter clockwise. The bolt didn't bottom out right.

Then all of a sudden it starts to move, I was overcome with joy as if I won the lottery.

Out comes the broken bolt, winner this time!

The absolute best is CHE in my opinion. I'm using a basic $150 bronze bushing kit many manufacturers offer in my lsnext 388 and haven't had any issues with it at all.

CHE is the only kit that I haven't seen any reported failures on.

I have them in my personal truck with no issue's and around 30k miles on them.

I have some pics of mine at 20k hard miles of use on here somewhere, they looked great, barely any wear. I suspect they would make it to 50k no problem, even then they might still be good to go.
