I agree with Kook's being too big. I actually make more HP from 4500-5500 with the mufflers on than the mufflers off (before H/C), which tells me something is wrong. If I wanted to spin the engine higher, they would probably work better.

We are going to build a 408 when the alum C6 blocks become available, and at that point the 1 7/8" will make sense.

To be honest, I went about things all wrong with the "bolt-ons", and wasted a bit of money "guessing" at stuff instead of "fixing problems".

Hey, its all good. The car still runs great. I"m sure you will have it even more squared away soon. I can't see the Kooks shorter primary helping a 346 unless you made a ton more RPM (about 8300 RPM), but even then the pipes are still too big 1 7/8 is good for a 346 turning (7400-7500) . On a 408 though they should be much closer to ideal for that package.

You might sell those Kooks, and get in on the LGM header GP if its going to be awhile on the 408...

The AFR 205's and Kooks 1 7/8" should be good for a blower setup, eh?

Should have a dyno late next week hopefully.

Combinations are a strange thing, my car with 1 7/8" Cartech headers and the LS6 Stg 2.5 heads made more torque then any A4 car that has ever been on my dyno. When we went from my 225cc Stg 1.5 5.3 heads to the 232cc Stg 2.5 LS6 heads I actually picked up 20 RWTQ by 3500 RPM. Of course these are the same heads that have made in the 435 RWTQ range on a stock shortblock!!

I have them on my 383. I'll be getting some numbers here in the next week or 2. Mine are Stage 2.5 for stock bore engines. The 3's are for big bore motors. The 2.5's are the same program shrunk .030" to fit a stock bore.

Hey would those heads work well with the SLP ZL-402 LS1 Iron Block? i might be buying that block perhaps the low compression one i plan on perhaps later down the road putting Procharger in it. My 98z ls1 block got a hole in it sucks so i figure ill go with the ZL-402 iron block i always feared that my block would get cracked. Or would a set of Stage 2 or Stage 3 LS6 heads be a better option? Thanks

The exhaust should be in this range. When we post flow #'s we go a little conservative, if we post the best #'s we have ever seen, then we have to try to match the best every time, which can't be done. Even though they are CNC ported, there are the variables of the valve job and the hand blending, we have even seen valves flow different from batch to batch.
Are you posting these results to increase sales? If so REPLY BACK TO ME! I still haven't got a price on those with a solid roller set up. Shoot me a PM. Thanks Andy.

Did you have the forced induction exaust port? It looks like their numbers are the forced induction port, but yours fall in line with the N/A port. Maybe the sheet had the wrong port?

bore, bench, radius, and pipe (diameter, length and straight or curved).

intake numbers fall in line with bench and port variation, exhaust is suspect as usual. still looks like they'll make some great power, what were the port volumes?

sf600, 4 1/8, yes, 1 7/8 curved pipe 6-8 inches... don't recall

249cc mid 80's exhaust

They made good power over the previous head, I'll swap the 62cc AFR's 225's and compare when they are available. That should be interesting ...huh!!

340-350 intake at .600 and 235-245 exhaust at .600 seems to be common number on the better performing LS6, LQ9, 225 heads.
